Impeach Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s tenure as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been rife with blatant attacks on science and public health. He has caused damage to our nation’s scientific research and public health infrastructure that will set us back decades. Under his so-called leadership:

• Biomedical research through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has stalled. The largest NIH study focused on women’s health has been canceled, and promising mRNA vaccination research has been defunded.

• Entire HHS agencies have been gutted or restructured, causing chaos among the federal workforce and endangering our nation’s ability to monitor and respond to emerging public health threats.

• Outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases like measles have surged amid Kennedy’s politicization of the CDC to promote vaccine misinformation and push baseless changes to childhood vaccination schedules.

• Kennedy has vocally promoted racist, ableist misinformation about developmental conditions like ADHD and autism and threatened access to essential medications for managing these conditions.

Kennedy is a threat to scientific integrity, public health, and the lives of those served by HHS research and programs. Congress must hold him accountable for his careless statements and actions that endanger the health and safety of every American.
