Block Trump’s Imperalist Invasions

After Trump ordered a military operation in Venezuela to capture former president Maduro, the administration has escalated their calls for military intervention. They replicated this aggressive regime change playbook that started a war with Iran, and they have their eyes set on several Western Hemisphere nations and territories, citing a “Donroe Doctrine” expansionist foreign policy agenda to control and dominate the entire region.

— After the U.S. choked off Cuba's oil sources, the country has suffered a severe energy crisis and blackouts. Trump has now threatened to "take" Cuba and "do anything he wants with it."

-- Trump has frequently commented about annexing other countries to make them the 51st state, including Canada, Cuba, Greenland, and Venezuela.

— Trump accused the country of Norway for blocking him from receiving the Nobel Peace Prize (which is not controlled by the government of Norway) and said this personal award loss is why the United States must now acquire Greenland. He also threatened a tariff increase on the eight European countries that defended Denmark’s control of Greenland.

— The administration insists Greenland is necessary for “national security" and has not ruled out using U.S. military forces to seize the territory, a move that could upend the 80-year NATO alliance.

The administration’s military actions in Venezuela and Iran have emboldened their imperialistic drive to damage our relationships around the world and put U.S interests at risk. Congress must hold firm to their constitutional authority over federal funding and war declarations and serve as a strong check on this lawless executive branch.
